BigCommerce products need a unique name, a type, a weight and a price; categories and brands are referenced by ID.
What BigCommerce checks
- Title up to 250 characters
- Description recommended, 50 characters or more recommended
- Main photo optional, 3 or more recommended
- Price required
- Package weight required
- SKU recommended
- Barcode (UPC/EAN) recommended
- Barcodes must have a valid check digit
- Part number (MPN) recommended
- Condition recommended
- Brand recommended
- Tags recommended
Good to know
- Product names up to 250 characters, unique in the store.
- Up to 200 custom fields of 255 characters each.
- Categories in the import file are category IDs, not names, and the import cannot create categories.
